The following introduces a selection of projects we have supported to date. From operational support for Japan-affiliated companies in Hong Kong, to business expansion by Japanese companies into Hong Kong and Asia, and market-entry support into Japan for companies from Hong Kong and China, the industries, challenges, and forms of support vary. In all cases, however, our involvement has been hands-on and closely connected to execution on the ground.

In response to a strategic change in the role of the Hong Kong operation, existing commercial flows and business relationships were reviewed and reorganised, and a new scheme was designed to allow the business to continue after the restructuring. Complex stakeholder coordination was led to achieve a smooth transition without disruption.
Participated in a project to introduce a new system across an overseas site network. Support covered requirement organisation, on-site interviews, formulation of the implementation plan, and coordination among stakeholders through to the project advancement phase.
Led the project from the design of the digital marketing strategy through to execution, while coordinating with internal resources to translate initiatives into concrete actions and drive results.
Participated as a strategic adviser in support of market expansion for products supplied by a Chinese manufacturer and handled by a Japanese trading company. Played a leading role from identifying market opportunities through to planning and driving execution of the sales strategy.
Support included negotiation assistance, proposal design, and advice on communication strategy for dealings with Japan, with the aim of strengthening relationships with Japanese suppliers. Assistance was provided as a bridge across differences in business culture and commercial practices between Japan and China.
Supported a Hong Kong developer in entering the Japanese market by covering business planning, local negotiations, coordination, and operational design across the various phases required for launch.
Managed a new wellness studio launch project in Hong Kong backed by investment from Japan. Company incorporation, bank account opening, site selection, business planning, and visa arrangements were centrally managed as one integrated project, allowing the investors and business leads to focus on launch preparation while each phase was advanced in a coordinated manner.
Public-sector Collaboration and Advisory Roles
Bridgeworks has been recognised and engaged as a specialist by public-sector support organisations in Japan and Hong Kong, and has been involved in supporting SME internationalisation and promoting business between Japan and Hong Kong.
Appointed as a coordinator for the Hong Kong Business Platform operated by JETRO, providing information, consultation support, and matching assistance for Japanese companies expanding into Hong Kong and Asia.
Appointed as a Business Adviser to HKTDC, Hong Kong’s government-backed trade promotion organisation, providing business consultation and advice from the perspective of promoting trade and investment between Japan and Hong Kong/China.
Entered into a service agreement with SME Support Japan, under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, as an external specialist in internationalisation and market development, supporting strategic planning and execution for Japanese SMEs expanding overseas.
